Roanoke Girls Group Book Club(ish)

Thursday, February 26th @ 5:30pm

Join the Roanoke Girls Group for a low-key night of meeting new people and chatting about books!

Here’s the vibe: We’ll share 2–3 book recommendations ahead of time. You can read one, all, or honestly none at all. At the meetup, you’ll be able to float around, chat in small groups about the books you’re interested in, and most importantly meet other girls in a low-pressure way. The hope is that people naturally click and maybe spin off into more traditional book clubs or find an existing book club they want to join based on shared interests.

Our book picks:
• Wuthering Heights
• The Housemaid
• The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks

Why we’re doing it this way: The group has grown so much faster than we anticipated. It's become apparent that so many gals are looking for easy, low-pressure ways to connect. SO many of us were excited about the idea of a book club, and this felt like the best way to make it accessible to everyone. Instead of a single required read, this format gives us all the chance to meet a lot of different girls, move around, chat naturally, and find the people we really click with — whether that turns into a future book club, coffee dates, or new friendships.

Bring a friend, come solo, read the book, don't read the book. Just come as you are. We CANNOT wait to see you there.
